20% is always better, just make sure you have a good % of oil, 12% to 16% oil is best..don't sacrifice Nitro % for oil % it will only decrease your engine life, I have a TMAXX with an OS engine and have well over 5 gallons and it still works great with a rebuild maybe after the next gallon...good luck...

?????? :stupid: .... more oil less nitro = shorter engine life....? stupidity is a stripper and she jus slapped you in the face for talking. Why do you think everybody is switching to air plane fuel...? more oil, less nitro, longer engine life. It keeps your engine cooler, and the airplane fuel runs better.

CaseyDDR..I stand corrected..I re-read and realized what I was thinking was not what my keyboard typed..I need to install the trouble between the keyboard and chair patch..LOL..

As I said, I stand corrected topdawg516, what I was trying to say as Casey pointed out is correct more oil is better, I should have typed don't sacrifice oil % for nitro %..airplane fuel is a topic that floats around here and I am not as familiar with its performance, Casey may be correct, worth looking into...

Tell that to casey..lol

I would post results on my "add extra castor" experiments BUT:

1) The weather has been HORRENDOUS! Flash floods, tornadoes and such.

2) My throttle servo friggin died. So no nitro for me for another week till I can get a servo outta ebay.

20% nitro would be fine. 20% nitro and 18% oil would be great.

Small engines do fine on higher nitro.

you all said 16-18 percent oil???? Good i'll have to go down to COX Manufacturing( where they make the Cox plane motors ) and have them mix me a gallon or two. They are about 10 miles from my house and will mix me some the way I want it for $15.00 a gallon.
