It looked like TMaxx - but it is 1/8 and TMaxx is 1/10 scale. But after listening to sucker, I would say it is junk. JMO

If I went with a clone (generic brand) I would go with CEN. After I move I am going to get one.

I have a Magic Wheel, and let me tell you- it's not all that durable, I've had two battery boxes cracked, and radio box cracked, several telescopic axles, and the clutch break on the first break-in tank. And these are from typical backyard bashing and occasional club track racing. Also the servos are extremely slow and weak, fuel tank leaks (probably because of primer). Been doing the same with a Terra Crusher and not one thing broke. I'm currently converting this MW completely to a T-Maxx with all the Traxxas parts I can find and fit. Do yourself a favor and buy a real T-Maxx. All you need to convert to a T-Maxx is: chassis, chassis braces, fuel tank, radio & battery boxes, transmission drive shafts, rest should fit fine unless you buy aftermarket bumpers then you'd need T-Maxx bumper mounts as well since they're slightly different sizes. BTW, it's a 1/10 and actually shorter/smaller than even the original T-Maxx, Smartech has alot to learn about these things too.

I also dropped in an XTM .18 with a T-Maxx engine mount (MW engine mount sits too far back) with T-Maxx flywheel and clutchbell. If you already have a MW, I suggest getting the parts to conver tto T-Maxx then you'd be able to buy Traxxas parts to replace, they're more durable and cheaper. I bought a T-Maxx battery box for $7 Canadian and the guy at Excelhobbies want $15 US dollars for a Magic Wheel battery box that cracked twice on me.

On a side note, DO NOT DO BUSINESS with technicala from ebay (salesman for Magic Wheel at excelhobbies), he is a problem to deal with sometimes. The package came inadquetly packaged, it had a cracked body and rear wheel axles were bent, I emailed him and he got all pissed off.

i will be starting this conversion in a few days time. when it is all done i will give you guys a review and let you know how it all went

OKAY, spread the word if you can. TECHNICALA of ebay and Excelhobby is BAD NEWS. Just recently he mailed me some parts that were supposed to be sent to someone else and then sends an email saying "Send them back or I'll void your waranty" when he should've apologized for the mistake he made- and what waranty? I have my father mail them back to him and just then he sends an email saying "I haven't gotten the parts back yet, you must be bull****ting all along".

Some people can be such *******s.

From what it sounds like he is not giving much of a warranty anyway - I would just keep the parts. But then again that is JMO.

Hey what happened to CaseyDDR??? He stopped posting after actual owners of the MW starting piping in. Maybe his cheap alternative to a T-Maxx actually turned into more of an investment than he thought.

Just wondering if anyone wants to take my MW for a small trade such as a stadium truck without motor/radio?

I have it 3/4 converted to a T-Maxx including a GPM lightweight chassis and all it needs are T-Maxx braces, transmission shafts, fuel tank and the rest fits. It will come with a .15 motor (only 3/4 gal through it at rich setting), but no radio since the radio kind of broke however the servos will be there. Original MW chassis, braces, and fuel tank will be included for whomever wants to make a project.

I can post pics if anyone is interested. I wouldn't mind a HPI RS4 MT, but I'm not looking for anything fancy- just want to get a stadium truck.

I know how you feel dude. I was taken for a ride on Ebay once and now I've got a phobia... I think it's better if both party were to present some kind of collaterals to prevent rip offs... something like for a US$500 item, seller will have to put that same amount up as a guarantee that he will ship... and once payment of US$500 was made, seller will get back his US$500 on top of that...
