Default Spool?

I know it goes in the rear diff, but what is it and what does it do? Anyone have a link to one on a site? What one fits a t-maxx?

THis is a spool. It locks up the differential(BOTH TIRES SPIN CONSTANT) here is a link with a picture. I can show you what it looks like on one of my diffs if needed!!

What makes a spool better? The reason I ask is because I just ordered RRP diff gears for both the front and rear diffs and want to know if I should go with a spool also or instead.

Default Spool?

You ordered the RRP ring gears part#8590 right? well the spool will bolt strait up to the TRX gears or the rrp gears!! The spool gets rid of the spider gears and creats a constant drive on the rear wheels(awsome for pushing around corners), a big plus for racers, but if you run on the street alot dont get the spool, it is for offroad use only!!
