Default Was buying these screws a mistake?

I recently purchased 65 titanium billet screws from Lundsford ($125 dollars worth) and didn't do the research first, I have found articles stating Ti screws are equal to 8.8 steel. A friend of mine warned me about this purchase after I had already bought them and want to know if there is any real reason why I should be worried based on his claim. The reason for buying them was because I recently snapped a stainless steel screw in half inside my bulks and it was tough to get out even with an Easyout. Am I missing something here or is titanium a tougher alloy - 6AL/4V?

Its So easy to strip the hex's of stainless steel screws its not even funny, its such a soft metal. As far as cookwear its the thing right now, stainless steel pots, pans and refrigerators. I just wanted a screw that wouldn't rust, I hate rust!
