help!
My friends hyper 8 port is having some trouble. It will idle but when he hits the gas it just dies. What could be wrong here?
The throttle rubber cover (part 21054) has a rip in it. I don't know how it got there. Will this cause the engine to die when throttle is applied?

did he break it in? the rubber thing has nothing to do with engine performance. If he broke it in correctly, the engine might be too rich and getting too much fuel if it dies when the throttle is applied.
