MI,
A little over a month ago, I posted my opinion on the 2.5 engine (not a favorable opinion). The next day, after logging in, I was given this message, "If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation."
Funny, I guess Traxxas doesn't take too kindly to opinions from the comsumer. ***??? As far as I'm concerned, that site is so jaded and if you post anything negative on their board about any of their products, you will be booted. Mind you, I never used profanity or said anything unreasonable. I was just posting my opinion on the 2.5 engine and how "I" thought it wasn't up to par as far as it stalling all the time and not being able to hold a tune. I've emailed the site administrator 3 different times regarding this issue and all of my emails have gone unanswered. So much for the excellent customer support. Oh, that reminds me, a little before that, I called the traxxas hotline asking a question about how big the holes were to mount the belcrank to the chassis. The guy on the other end had no idea and wasn't willing to find out. Like I said, business must be too good at Traxxas. Well, I guess I'm finally going to have to give in to you Savage guys and go buy one for my next truck because Traxxas is definately not getting any more business from me after being treated this way.

I don't really see a problem here; you've still got a T-Maxx that works and that's all that matters!

If you read the posts on that site, you'll notice that there aren't any negative opinions posted on it regarding traxxas products. Seems kinda shady to me. What does that really say about the product/company if they can't take some critisism? Also, they don't have the "00"'s to even answer my emails. I think I'll do some digging and call as far up as I can to get a real answer. I want them to tell me that they booted me because of my opinion. That would be pretty funny.

I agree with your plan of attack, just remember:
1) Be pleasant ans curtious
2) Speak highly in general of traxxs products (afterall u must have liked thier products previously or you wouldnt have bought the 2.5, dont be afraid to list all the traxxas products you own or have purchased or recommended) u the angle the u feel the "truck is not up to the traxxs standards that u are used to and u r disappointed" dont take the i hate traxxas and teh 2.5 sucks attitude.
3) LEad them to belive you are in a position to effect the opinion of many other current/potential customers. (i.e. introduce urself as john doe preseident of 75 memeber "blah blah RC club" in anywhere, US. (do your homework b4 u attempt this)
4) always ask who is the immediate supervisor of the person ur talking to, and ask who is in charge of public relations or who is in charge of your regio`(whether it be the Eastern US, Uk, or what ever), becasue you want to direct your letter to the proper person
They will only to try to appease those who they THINK are still customers. give them the feeling that you will never buy another traxxas product, u will get nothing. Anything they do will be an ATTEMPT TO MAINTAIN A CUSTOMER. If they know ur not a customer (as u state above) U will get SQUAT regardless!!!!

Usually, they (a Co. in general) will come right out and ask you "what can we do to make you happy" This is the crucial moment....do no tell them a SPECIFIC thing you want (theyll think ur scamming), just restate your position that ur surprised and disappointed and think somebody should do something to restore the faith u had in traxxas products. LEt them offer U something, Do ask for something.

Thats a good idea in the theory, but.......! I've been working with "Steve" at traxxas, and he came clean on some issue's (that Mustang, another traxxas employee posted on the 2.5 problems), I have the emails complete with headers, showing where they came from, and they will not do a darn thing to help me out, and I too was also removed from the board, for telling the truth. No bad words, no bad comments, just facts, and I'm no longer welcome there.
If later today, they do not, make good on the issue I have, I will post the entire email, from traxxas, clearly showing Mustangs post is bogus. Just another reason to stay away from traxxas!
