Default steering problem with Madbeast

With the exceed Madbeast 1/8 scale....

When turning the steering wheel on the controller, the actual wheels do not move much at all. Is there an adjustment in the controller to make the wheels turn more, or an adjustment on the truck itself?

If so...how do I do it? My son can not drive the car unless he goes in a straight line.

The manual is no help at all.

Are you using the stock radio. It it is a basic radio there might not be an end point adjustment. Most cars cars have a servo saver on the steering. If it is set to loose then the car won't steer very well. Also make sure the horn on the servo is not stripped.

umm, when you're going does it turn? If it turns better when you're going, then you need a servo with more torque...

The function on the radio that would make turning very little is called dual rate. But I doubt you have that on your radio, Exceed radios are very basic. (Dual rate is a race-grade feature on high dollar radio sets and maybe some mid-grades, but not on RTR radios).

So, the culprit is in the Nanda truck itself (your MadBeast is really a Nanda Raptor, or a Shumacher Raptor (all three trucks are the very same truck, both Shumacher and Exceed buy the truck from Nanda and put their stickers on it to resell).

So, knowing the original maker, try looking up the Nanda Raptor manuals or even the Schumacher Raptor Manuals to see if those have much better explanations in them. They just might be able to help you find out what adjustment on this truck would correct your poor steering.

Another manual to look at for the solution is to look up the RD Logics Wolverine (Nanda cloned the Wolverine 100% to make the Raptor. The Raptor/MadBeast is really a Wolverine Clone). The Rd Logics manual might be of the most help. Afterall, RD Logics is the one who really made this truck first.

If linkages and manuals dont help at all, then the fault lies in the electronics. The servo, RX, radio, or all of it could be the problem. Exceed is unfortunately not known for good radios (too many of them tend to have problems). So, in any case, it is best to upgrade your radio to a midgrade radio with decent servos. If electronics are your problem, throwing away the Exceed radio will fix that (unfortunately, you will have to drop no less than $50 for even a 2ch reliable radio)
