Ok so I have been out a while...
my old t-maxx got alot of blue aluminum upgrades,
home made stretched chassis
.21 pull start engine
monster pirtate tires
grave digger lid
loved it but soldit to get my real truck on the road
8" lift and 40" hawgs...
I was searching the internet for something and saw the Tamiya F350. I loved the bruizer and thought id look into this....
but @ 9mph i will pass on the f350....
so now I am still looking at a vehicle...
now the traxxas revo looks cool... and wanted to stick with nitro as they are just fast and fun...
but electric... just saw the summit was coming out.
I am looking for a weekend warrior to play around with my son. 25mph for the summit is fine although my t-maxx was WAY FASTER!!!!
hell i even want to try and put my sons radio shack hummer with matt traxx on the summit [>:]
soooooo
my questions:
1. Should I look at the Traxxas Summit as it is a general overall basher, offroader, can play in snow, water, etc? or go for the revo?
2. I am leaning 90% towards the summit.... as even the f350 needed an optional unit for the led lights and all... so this is included and seems nice (not really a question)
3. what hopups do you see for the summit? 7.2volt batteries?
I used to have a
blackfoot
lunchbox
frog
hornet
hot shot ii
all i know is it will be fun again...
and whatever I get it has to look like my truck

You need to get rid of those Hawgs. Get some Boggers. I never liked Ground Hawgs even on my 500hp 383 stroker K5 blazer. Nice truck though.

hah typical interco guy...
tell ya what... when I finally get stuck then I will swap them out... truck is off the road right now.. too cold but this summer I am going to install a ez wiring 21 kit.. already got it and removed my old wiring. im installing it and putting in the oem harness plugs... so got alot of soldering and crimping to do....
I thought about boggers but since I drive this truck on the street and boggers get about 15k miles... i will choose the 50k hawgs over them......but will see.....

If you like the aftershock but want reverse look for an LST or LST2. You can find them pretty cheap used in good shape. Since you already understand tuning and all that even if the motor is worn out replacing it with a new better one wouldn't be an issue. The JR XS3 that comes with the LST/LST2 is worlds better than most any other RTR radio out there. It isn't 2.4 but it is synthesized FM so no crystals needed, it has 6 model memory, and all the digital end points/trims you need. The lst mach .26 is a bit nicer than the m26ss that comes with the aftershock. 7 ports on the mach 26 and 4 on the m26ss. Honestly the radio alone makes up for any price difference I see in the aftershock to the lst and the bigger parts of the lst2 along with the even stronger 427 motor makes it worth its money as well. Just a thought.

If you willing to shell out some extra cash, alot actually. You should look at a 1/5 scale Monster Truck. They are so much better than nitro IMO. Alot less hassle.
