Default Instructions

You should have received instructions with the engine, read them. They will tell you exactly how to break in the engine, as with any other nitro engine.

Make sure you follow them exactly to avoid voiding your warranty.

Well, actually it is not logical to just run it till its broken in. For example with the savage, the first tank of fuel you prop the truck on something, and run the throttle so the wheels are barely moving. Second tank, run it half throttle, let it coast, half throttle, let it coast, so on and so on....., and the third tank, you have to run it consistently at half throttle. After that you can start to make adjustments to the carb until you get it set right, and run full throttle. Then after those adjustments, you can start adjustments to the tranny.

With the .26, you run it for 2-3 minutes, turn it off, make sure the piston is all the way down, not at TDC, let it cool. Do this for about 2-3 tanks of gas to be safe. Then run it, never at full throttle, coasting to let it cool off during runs, for 2-3 tanks of fuel. After that you begin to make adjustments and run at full throttle.

Not entirely sure, but my friend has the .26, and I know this is close.

Go to www.ofna.com and you can download the manual for the engine.

you should throw it on the ground to break it in, make sure you use after-run oil after throwing.
