Water Drip Test?

WHAT IS WITH THE WATER DRIP TEST ON THE HEAD OF THE ENGINE? IS THIS IN PLACE OF A TEMP GAUGE IF YOU DON'T HAVE ONE?

You dont need to start a new thread for the same questions you had before!!! But to answer you question, yes its for those that dont have a tepm gun/guage. Mainly for NOOB's with their first car!!
