Somewhere! My guess is a wire or connector is broken inside the E-Z start unit or it could be a broken wire on the truck itself! You can try taking it apart and see what is wrong or you can buy a whole new setup on Ebay for pretty cheap ($15-25).
Or you can do what I did on my TRX Pro and use a glow starter! They work better IMO anyway!

ive took it apart and i thought i solved the problem, there was a wire that needed soldering but when i put it back together it still wont work.
also there is a third light inside the unit that lights up,?do you know what its for.

My ez start broke the same way yours did. Just call traxxas and they will send you a new one. If they want you send yours back tell them you will when you get the new one. They shouldn't charge you. For now use a glow starter for the plug and the ez start to just spin the motor. The battery will last longer that way anyway.

That is a good idea if you have a good 2.5 motor. My experience has been that you can pull till' your arm falls off and the motor won't start. It is hard to tune, so the e-z start make it a little easier. The easiest would be to install a better motor, like a sirio .18. A direct drop in that is a breeze to tune and get running.
