RE: some serious issues

Torq means its from Duratrax. Its probably the Nitro Quake 1/8 scale MT

RE: some serious issues

RE: some serious issues

it can go about 35 mph to 40 mph

R/C Madman 04-25-2004 02:26 PM

RE: some serious issues

About 30mph depending on which one it is. Duratrax made a few MT's and other trucks with the Torq .21 (Nitro Demon, Thunder Quake, Nitro Quake). The engine is a good starter engine which I mean is easy to tune and run. If you have any pictures you can post I could tell you for sure which one it is?

RE: some serious issues

i call that a thunder quake.:) by taking a look at the body where it says "Thunder Quake" i would say its one. lol. and my friend on here has one. its "sn0wrider" who has one. he just got his.

is the car used? do you know how many tanks of gas are in it so far? is it brand new?

tidus10 04-25-2004 03:28 PM

RE: some serious issues

ummm i baught it from some guy in florida and i guess the guy jus baught it not too long ago.... theres no wear and tear and i jus emptied the gas tank cuz it had old gas in it and i wouldn't start so i needa buy new gas for it....but besides that i dont know much about it...
it has forward/reverse i think its all stock i believe i kno its 4 wheel drive....

i got a stupid quest (yall with think its stupid atleast) is there a car modification kit i could buy for that?? like lower stiffer shocks smaller street tires ect ect?

jer~

vizaracer 04-25-2004 03:36 PM

RE: some serious issues

i dont think you can get smaller tires but you can get street tire for those it. and for lower shocks, buy some shorter springs. that would lower the car. but a monster truck is never gonna handle like a onroad. i am 15 btw also and i have a monster truck and a onroad. the monster truck can go over anything and is alot of fun to play with. when you lower the truck, your limiting what it can go over.

tidus10 04-25-2004 03:44 PM

RE: some serious issues

dam i wanted to crazy lower it and get a car body, smaller tires, like liteeeraly turn it into a car with 4wd and the poer to do anything it wants.....jus not the ability [sm=bananahead.gif]

vizaracer 04-25-2004 03:56 PM

RE: some serious issues

you can get a car like that. they make 4wd cars, i have one. and you can get a engine as big as a .18 for a little 4 pound car. monster trucks are alot of fun and you wil have fun with it i bet. monster trucks have the power to do pretty much anthing it wants also.:D

RE: some serious issues

Jer~

vizaracer 04-25-2004 04:06 PM

RE: some serious issues

i am not sure if they make spinners for the TQ, but they do make them for the proline 40 series which are different and can be made to fit your truck.

yo at RCX, they just introduced new bodies and stuff to make your truck look like a street ride, check these out on this page.
[link=http://www.wildhobbies.com/news/default.asp?cmd=view&articleid=1208]http://www.wildhobbies.com/news/default.asp?cmd=view&articleid=1208[/link]. I have touring cars and all, but i think these trucks look hotter.

What a way to ruin a perfectly good monster truck...

Varad 04-25-2004 10:33 PM

RE: some serious issues

you think so?? i wouldnt do it to mine but it would look good as far as street trucks go.

vizaracer 04-25-2004 11:19 PM

RE: some serious issues

those cant be monster trucks. first off, look at the size of the wheels, they wont fit on a mt. and the cars are not wide at all like a mt.

nitrobashinauz 04-25-2004 11:48 PM

RE: some serious issues

theyd ave to be totaly different a-arms and wheel hex's and stuff
but it'd work if you had the time to waste

THose werent his. Also the thunderquake is a good truck. I like it. Keep it like it is and take it on the dirt where it belongs!

crazypyro013 04-26-2004 05:56 PM

RE: some serious issues

if those were MTs there would be nice cut openings for the motor to breathe, also just to fit on there

try reading the copy next time

One of the coolest products is the new line of parts from ProLine under the new Ridez line. Starting with a 1:10 Scale H2 and Escalade body and new 2.4" wheels and tires, the new line of Ridez parts fit on 1:10 scale touring cars for the ultimate street look.

RE: some serious issues

actually. you can have it run from that. see that there are 2 horns across from eachother. just take the connection off the snapped end and the other. and take off the servo horn. and turn it so it will have 2 connections where the old were. then just connect them and go have some more fun.

RE: some serious issues

Make sure you use after run oil when your finished running it. You take the glow plug and air filter out and put a few drops in.
