RE: MGT Engine Question

You just have to look at them. I haven't heard of any way to measure the wear on the shoes. If there is a lot of clutch dust in there just spray it out with some nitro cleaner.

Is there any way I can tell if my clutch shoes are worn down before I buy the Nova Aluminum shoes?

RE: MGT Engine Question

I bought the Nova clutch shoes and even with everything installed it seems to still have the same problem. Do I need aftermaarket springs for the clutch for use with the Nova clutch shoes?

RE: MGT Engine Question

I think I have solved the problem and it seems that the fuel tank outlet to the engine is broken. This allowed for a much leaner fuel mix and made the engine much louder like it was about to run out of fuel.

I just used the stock spings, they were only used for break-in so still basicly new though. Did you put the set screws in? I did and the shoes wore pretty quick but gripped hard, think I'm gonna leave them out on the next set.

good to hear ya' figured out the problem[sm=thumbup.gif]

I didn't put any set screws in because on some posts it was recommended
