Are there any racing areas in or around the bay area california??

There is nowhere close to you that I know of but we usually meet at Mission College in Santa Clara with the 5th scale car guys. Unfortunately I didn't see your post earlier. They had their last race in Oct on the 18th. The next big Bike race is in socal at SV speedway on Nov 17 18. This will be a big race I think there may be 12 or more bikes there.
If you are interested there is a track in Marin @ Marin RC it is small and not usually set up to run bikes on but it is there and NORCAL in Union City has a decent track. It is big enough to run the bikes comfortably.
I also set up tracks at the local school yard to run on if you would like to come out sometime let me know and we could meet up there.
