picked up an old used duratrax maximum st for cheap, but the motor has almost no compression. what motor will fit to replace the old torq .12 thats in it? I tried putting my associated .15 in but the shaft is way to short so the clutch bell doesn't meet up with the spur gear. I guess I need to know what engines have a long shaft. I'm a bit of a nitro newbie so I'm somewhat clueless with what will work. thanks guys.

What do you mean it wont work?
Anyways, here is a VX 12, which is identical to your torq 12 http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-VX-12-NITRO-...item483d0114b5
If the shaft is different, then you can just put your old crank into this engine.

the old motor has no compression, will not fire, if thats what you are talkin about. I tried puttin my associated into the chassis but the clutch bell doesn't come close to the spur gear, cause the shaft is too short, and there is no way to move the engine closer.
thanks for the link on that other engine too.
