Default Roto start

Can you use 7.4v (2s) Li-po batteries in nitro roto starters? They all advertise using them with 7.2v nimh batteries however, they don't have the "punch" of a lipo. I will obviously install some sort of lipo cut of devise if I do use lipo's. I just want some advice on whether this will work or if the lipo would burn out the Motor.

I would think that you need to look up what kind of motor your particular roto starter uses, then figure out what kind of juice it can handle. I would prolly just stick with the nimh just so you dont burn up a starter. Any reason that you need all that power just to start? Most healthy motors will start pretty quick even with a pull starter.
