Hey thanks for the fast response. Is it ok for the motor to run w/ just the backplate on w/ the shaft sticking out. Could you go mre in depth w/ flicking the flywheel? how would i get the sring off if i tied it around?

the best way is to put the one way bearing in a socket and put that on your power drill.

I don't have a drill. I'll just wait, i'll probably tear something up.I put the recoil housing on the backpalte and attached the TRS. I couldn't get it started, it's brand new, so to much compression. (and i used my hand to turn the flywheel)

patience is a virtue, new engine you don't want to ruin the darn thing, take your time, loosen the glow plug a little, and you definitely can't start it with your finger attempting to spin the fly wheel, geez.. someone smoking the green leaf a little too much there.. the string around fly wheel.. sounds fishy.. but like the person said.. drill and socket your best bet, other wise.. bump box.. a rubber wheel that spins and you press the engine's flywheel on it.. and it should start it
