hey i have a pro .15 nitro rustler. ofna and some other companies are coming out with direct fit .21s for the t-maxx.
since the t-maxx and nitro rustler both had the same engines at first and both have 2.5s now would the ofna .21 direct fit into my nitro rustler?.. or nitro 4-tec?
thanks!

it might but would you really get much more power? bigger engines dont rev as high and dont nessasarily have more power. it would definatly have more power then the stock .15 but maybe a good .15 or .18 would be better. it will also be bigger and weigh more than a .15. i would check the hp and rpm limit of the engine, plus the mounting dementions of the engine. make sure it would fit first, it should. would the truck hold up to it? you might have to replace cvd's, gears, ect.

i would agree with the above statement. the added weight would play havoc on such a light vehicle. Plus, the Rustler 2.5 already has too much power and is difficult to drive. a .21 would just make it sit there and spin its tires. EXTREMELY difficult to utilize a .21 or larger in a 2 wheel drive vehicle.

just trade in your trade in your .15 pro engine to traxxas for a traxxas 2.5 engine. your speed will reach 40+ with this engine. it'll cost you $100 i think if you trade it to traxxas. go to traxxas.com and search. any .12/.15/.18 engine will fit into your truck.
