You have the tower hobbies truck right? If so ditch the stock muffler and pickup an AE pipe or something of that nature. That will definitely give you some more power and stay under 50 bux

Yeah I have the tower truck. Has anyone ever stuck a bigger carb on their truck? Would it work?

I'v heard of people boring out their carbs. If your carb opening is thick, then you can do this. All you need is a dremel with a grinding bit and polishing compund to make it as smooth as a baby's butt. You only bore the top half of the carb which is before the rotary or slide valve and make it into a cone shape. Be carful not to hit the needles and what nots inside the carb. Im shure this will give you a noticable boost but don't over do it cause the walls will be to thin. The best part is its absolutly free if you own a dremel or other rotary tool.

well you could always port your engine... this does however get rid of any warranty on your engine and you risk damaging it so take caution if you do this and make sure you know how to do it.

Dude your officially addicted, lol. I was like that w/ my duratrax. I would just get the tuned pipe set for your truck, and they play w/ the carb settings, just dont lean it out too much. Its nuts how much power your truck gets when its leaned out but you will really eff it up.

higher nitro level in your fuel. didnt you say you only had like 15%? you could go to like 20 or 25 unless the engine cant handle it.

Yeah I dont have a dremel , but if I did id be doing all this stuff and more. What about different heads for it? My engine currently has .70hp by doing all of this stuff do you think I could boost up the hp to 1.1+hp?

I don't like hotbodies engines very much. They seem to me like they are poor quality. The Epic .18 BB is the cheapest .18 that claims 1.8hp and its only around $140

So.....its $75 w/pull start fits, in .15 space. Its cheaper than my stock motor with .70hp, works for me. Thats enough to get my truck haulin.
