Default Fuel

Do I have to do anything different to my truck for switching over to a higher % of fuel? Like a new glow plug? I'm planning on going from 10% to 15% or 20%.

you will all most certainly have to tune your engine again. it's not long so it's not too bad. I'm thinking of doing what your doing to and go to 16% Tornado. apart from the tuning you don't have to do anything else really.

If it starts getting too hot you may need to switch to a lower temp glow plug

well i live in the part of texas where they sell stuff called Rocket Science Fuel, i allways ran 30 through my ws7-2[in the mbx5], but then i got my xxx-nt and i had to go down to 20 for that, so i started using the 20 iin the mbx5 too, seems weird but all i have to do was idle it down a little and lean the lowend a little 1/8th turn

i was thinking and i was wrong about my statement of richening the engine for higher nitro. it would have to be leaned out.

The 20% I like and run is Duratraxx O'Donnell Racing and it is very affordable. The crappy thing about Tower is you have to buy single quarts or 4 gallon cases and they have ALWAYS been like that (well since I was much younger)....

I was about to suggest odonnells, sometimes tower runs specials like 4 1 quarts bottles for like 25 bucks or something, like that, I personally have purchased duratrax Red Alert 20 percent because thats what they suggested w/ my ODST, so I got it. I also have Traxxas Top Fuel, But I was going to purchase the O Donnells 20 percent in the near future.

1 gallon (4 quarts) about $26.
