Default Kill switch

I would like to get a kill switch for my r/c that i can control from my radio. This would be great in case of a runaway, and a good way of shutting off the car. Does any one know of a company that makes one?

i have this on my remote, all i did was play with the throttle until when i FULLY put on my brakes, it makes it so it shuts off the air from the filter thus putting it to a stop. the down side is, u have no brakes...so...yea your choice.

it wont shut the engine off(unless you have no brakes) but it will return it too the pre programmed position, most people set them up to go to neutral or brake.

as long as you have programed the fail safe to shut the throttle and apply full brakes. That's what it will do. Every time before I run my car's I turn off the tx just to see what the servo will do.

if you have a run away usually you wont be able to control the car so if you did have a kill switch on the radio it wouldnt do anything in a runaway. if you have a little extra money, dont mind the extra weight, and atleast a 3channel radio you could make one though. just get a extra servo(must have about 50 oz or torque or so) and one of those 2 position petcocks that are on some atvs and ect(the petcock has to have close to the same size nipples). then hook up the servo to the 3rd channel and find a way to make it turn off the petcock in one position and on in another. then set the 3rd channel so its open and get a failsafe for the extra servo, then set the failsafe so it turns the petcock to off when the signal is lost. then you have 2 ways of turning it off, either use the 3rd channel button or turn off the radio. if you have a run away it should shut off the engine unless the battery is disconnected or something like that.

I think somewhere in there is the plan for a automatic cofee maker.

i just though of something new. it will only work with certain radios but it would work with my xs3. if you have an extra button and can have it as the end point overide you could have it kill the engine when you push it.

im not sure if it would work with the throttle or not. it does work with the steering servo though, you set the endpoint and then push the 3rd channel button and it lets you turn faster. i will try to do this next time i drive my truck.

If you are inventive and not into racing you might try something like this....

I have a way to make a kill switch, give me a couple of hours and I'll have it if you want it. Might be expensive.
