Hey, does any one make a kit to convert the rustler to a two speed? They go 50 now but with a 2 speed.

would be cool, but most people dont realize that a 2 speed on a nitro is for accelleration, I found this out when everyone was hooplaing about that one time, I have a 2 speed truck and couple 1 speed trucks, the 2 speed truck out accellerates my 1 speed trucks big time, if i were to put a better motor in it it would probably also beat them out on the top end too. Although You could gear up your truck to have a large second speed gear and make it top out. or you could get a shumacher menace which has 3 speeds, and I am assumming that it takes a long strip to get to use the 3rd gear.

Ya it gives you beter acceleration, so you can reach a higher top end faster.--If you gear you're car to do 70 the acelleration would be horible, but if you had a to speed you could reach 70 and have a decent accelleration.

all i found was that it has a 6 ball bearing transmission. thats on tower hobbies. but i will check on traxxas

No, the 2.5 has a single speed like the older version. I also have not ever run across a 2 speed for the Rustler. Perhaps one exists, but I have not seen it.

no there is no 2 speed for the rustler and i dont think that anyone will make without completly mutating the truck.

Im pretty sure there is not 1 but im sure that if you would of put a 2 speed in the rustler it will fly! Probably im guessing 65 mph.
