Default Another question

The rundown.

I've had my GT for about a week. When I got it, it was pretty cold outside but I couldn't help myself. I had to play with it. So I decided to go outside and start breaking it in. I followed the directions as best I could and everything was perfect, or so it seemed....

The problem.

Lately I've been having A LOT of trouble getting the engine to just plain idle. Even with the glow starter on it. If I drive nonstop it will run but as soon as I let off the throttle it will cut out. Is it possible that the engine was not broken in correctly? Maybe I didn't allow the temperature to reach a norm by breaking it in while it was 15 degrees outside and now the sleeve and piston are not in spec? I have tried changing the glow plug 3 times and they aren't fixing the problem. Please help!

Another thing. The pull starter is only "catching" randomly when i first start up the truck. Maybe Ill feel the resistance of the engine turning maybe once or twice, then throughout the whole yank. Its weird because once the engine is warmed it catches all the time.

Thanks for the help!

Try setting the carb back to stock and tune from there. Sounds like the bottom end isnt tuned right. Diffrent temps, humidity, and sea level will change the tuning. As for your pull starter it sounds like the one way bearing is getting oil and gas in it. The heat may be drying some of it up when its warmed up. Take it out and spray it out with brake cleaner and swab a Q tip around inside it to spin the oil off of the bearings. That should help ya out.
