im thinking of buying the HPI MT2 but i have been reading along and it seems that alot of people are having problems with the diff's. is everyone experencing this type of problem? should this keep my from buying this truck or was it just a bad batch from the factory.

The diffs can be disassembled and shimmed to fix the problem, or new parts can be sourced from HPI, free of charge I believe, due to the fact it's a known issue.

I wouldn't think something like this is really a reason not to buy one.

Not everybody is having the problem. I've got half a gallon through mine so far, with no issues.

Like Tex said, don't let this dissuade you from getting one. It is a good truck, especially for someone like me who isn't interested in the fastest, most tricked-out, etc., etc. The Roto-Start is just too handy.
