i know this should be in the engine forum and thats ok if its moved as long as im informed, but i was just wondering. i recently took off my pull start on my fantom .15 and put a normal backplate on it. the other day i was looking at a manual to a motor for some odd reason and i noticed a gaskit between the backplate and crankcase. my engine doesnt have one, nor do i remember seeing one when i took off the pull start. am i supposed to have one on there? thanks.

I most likely is there,
many times when you disassemble the engine it will stay stuck to the case or the back plate

Take another look

well ill look around some for it, maybe its stuck to the old backplate.
