one of my friends bought a rc10gt and it needs a pul start so we bought one but what goes inside it besides the rope and the other litle things like what attaches to the rod out of the motor to make the pull start grab the rod

nothing else goes on....it is a one way bearing that spins the shaft. If you bought a new pullstart you can just slide it on and it should work fine.
