Default RC10GT vs Rustler?

I used to have an old rtr Rustler w/ the old engine and it was pretty fast. I sold that long ago and I'm buying a factory GT. What I want to know is... How DOES the NEW 2.5 Rustler hold up to an RC10 w/ a .15 cv-r? how do they line up?
I can care less about racing but how fast are they compared to each other? I've got a friend w/ a rtr rc10gt who thinks its the fastest thing on 4 wheels so I want to know if I'll tear him a new one w/ the rc10 and a cv-r or maybe even that awesome epic .18! [>:]

What do you mean long run? as in top end or next month? He has a GT to but its the rtr... My question is how would the FT gt w/ a .15 cv-r or an epic .18 hold up to the new 2.5 Rustler as far as speed?
How fast would you say each one would be?

personally i say get the rustler and stick the 22t clutch bell on there. not many stadium trucks get that fast with a stock setup.

ok so you want to change the motor? def. go with the GT and long run as in next month... def. GT with a OS .15 and the factory team pipe and how long of a race? if its 132 ft thast 1/10 of a drag race which is 1320 ft normal scale then go wth a 18/65 if its shorter than that go with a 22 or 24/ 62

OMG... Nevermind... lemme ask this. How would the 2.5 rustler hold up to my FACTORY TEAM RC10GT with a .15 rb concepts in it? Or would it even compare? I'm basically looking to build the baddest truck possible for bashing...

a .15 Rb concept would be mean but a new era .21 conversion with a RB concept mill would be absolutely killer

OK i will be the person here that will ACTUALLY ANSWER HIS QUESTION. If you mean in terms of speed probably around the same between the 2. ALso depends on gearing. The rc10 gt far out handles the rustler and the rustler IMO is more durable.

if all you want is speed then get a freakin on road car, top speed has so little to do with what a NST is for. This topic makes me ill because I have read veriations of it so many times.
