Default xxx-nt problem(please read)

i have a problem with my losi xxxnt. whenever i drive it and give it full throttle the rpms go up really fast like the wheels aren't on the ground. the truck still goes but not as fast as it should. could somebody please tell me what my problem is. is the clutch not slipping right or something? please help.

ok, this could be quite simple... or complicated. Check your slipper to see if that is setup the way it should be. NEXT, watch the clutch bell and see if it rotates, if that does, then your spur should be rotating. Then ur tranny will be workin and if that is so... look at your drive shafts, they should be turning too. It kind of sounds like a slipper issue here. Tighten it up and it should rip!

XXX NT Kid, is it a whining that your truck is making when accellerating? or a grinding?. If its the whining, then your gear mesh is too tight, and you will blow out a bearing on your clutch.

Could be your compound gear? get the aluminum one and get rid of that problem forever!

I know about the RRP gear, I was freaking about the "aluminum" compound gear. I have the RRP gear installed in my Tranny.

i figure ones you get the RRP gear and make sure your diff is set properly your square. THen make sure that your slipper is slipping before the differential your slipper is what saves your transmissions on jumps and bad wrecks. It has to slip before the differential does.

ya, there is not a aluminum compound gear to speak of. the reson for this is because it wouldnt be a good thing, metal moving parts touching other metal part. plastic and aluminum or steel mesh up very nicely, are very quiet, and dont strip very easily. with a metal compound gear the tranny would be very loud, cause more resistance and weigh more. with just the rrp diff gear you will not strip the compound gear.
