Hi there,
I have a HPI MT2 which has the new 18ss engine and upgraded tuned exhaused (triple chambered I believe) and would like to know what thoughts you guys have about it compared to the Lightning 2 and Hyper 7 SPEED wise - i.e. is it possible for the MT2 to be faster than the other two cars (im a beginner so forgive me if its a stupid questions!) with proper tuning or other recommended upgrades. Im assuming the MT2 is the slowest of the lot as its got the smaller engine. I think the Lightning 2 has a .26 the Hyper 7 a .21 and the MT2 an .18. Any response to the above plus how you would rank them in speed order and which you think is the better car order
Thanks again!

those buggies are also fat porkers compared to your mt-2, they probaly weigh almost 2 times as much, and generally big block engine wont crank out as high RPM as a small block or mid block. the max speed on the the buggies would be 40 to 45, so with some taller gearing you could keep up with them.

OH,
I race at club level and at practice nights I am as fast as a Mugen.
They are seriously good on excelleration and road handling, which I can't touch. I have installed sway bars and better tires - HPI X Pattern S type in a hope to handle as well.
