The pull start on my mach 15 kept breaking on me, so I looked inside, and saw that the end hook on the coil spring kept sliping out of place. I driled a small hole, and put a screw and washer right next to where the hook inserts. The washer covers over the hookend, so now it never pops out. I just thought I'd share my exp. for any others that may be having the same problem.

I like the kind of pull-starts that you find on engines like: Dynamite (eg. Mach .15), or a Force engine (eg. Force .12, .15)
Cause its a famous pull-start that nearly every engine uses
Currently i have been replacing the Mach .15's pull start with the Force engine series pull-starts. There great.
