I finally got my truck broken in and tuned right. I ran about 10-15 tanks through it yesterday with no problems at all. Easy starts 1-2 pulls, with only 5 minutes cool down between every 2 tanks. Ive never been real good at jumping(I used to race electric indoor oval). So I decided to build a ramp yesterday and practice. All day I was getting air about 5 feet from the ground with about 15 ft. distance and it landed perfect every time!!! I know alot of members here dislike Duratrax but I am very happy with this truck so far. Lots of speed, perfect jumps, great control. As far as durability goes, I dont know. I dont crash very often so I wont know till I take a hard spill. Here are some pics of my first(but not last)Nitro R/C.

Nice looking truck, did i mention duratrax rocks! some people here dont like duratrax because they dont have enough hop ups blah blah blah. well i found every aluminum piece i will ever need for my evader so im happy. also, the parts are pretty durable, there not too bad. I tend to breal small things like front budy mounts and suck, but you shouldnt have a problem with that. looks like a pretty durable truck. thanks for sharing.

I had a Maximum MT and I really liked it a lot. Simple, fast and fun. The Torq .16 is a pretty good motor. I liked my MT a lot more after I converted it to a ST by installing ST wheels. I do recall that for whatever reason, the Maximum jumped great.
The 2 speed transmission on the Pro can be problematic. If it acts up, I would recommend looking at installing a transmission from a Non-Pro Maximum truck. I would also look into installing the big bore shocks from the MT on the front and rear. They are some really great shocks and will provide more dampening than the ST shocks.
I liked mine, but about after 2 gallons, the motor started running and needed replaced so I parted it out.

it came with the torq.12, i actaully got it for free this guy he left the hobby and gav it to me, it had the torq.12 all worn out and stuff, no wheels, hallf way apart, so my dad helped me out i got a kit where you rebuild the shocktower bulkhead body mounts, and i also picked up a torq16 and added the old exhaust from my rusty, right know i have dirt hawgs in the front and stock tires in the rear, i also have a stell spur gear, GS racing wheel nuts, and thats pretty uch it, its a really great truck

Stock everything except the temp gauge and the fuel liter I just added after the picture was taken.
