umm i think i had to cut the shaft so the flywheel can be screwed all the way down. i took off acouple of threads. and the engine cost around $119
#1 i had to cut threads to make the clutch nut tighten down on the flywheel.
#2 i had to buy a new clutch nut so my clutch bell can go on the engine.
the picture said i had to cut these off but i didnt cut all the threads off i only cut acouple off.

does anyone know of a engine to fit an Rc10GT RTR?? Besides speed demon (Not that im outruling the engine you suggested)!

no. see what happened was i screwed the clutch nut on tightened it down started the engine and gave it throttle and then i looked at the fly wheel and it was loose. i took it off and pulled out the trusty black and decker wizard rotary tool and cut acouple threads off it wasnt hard take off like 1 or 2 threads if it is close dont take a lot off to little it better then to much. it took me 2 or 3 times

any of OS's engines would be a great improvement. a .15 CV-RX would kick arse, if you wanna go gonzo-nutzoid, get an OS .18CVR or .18TZ, but one of those would more than likely eat up your transmission gears.

Just curious, did you take the restrictor out of the carb and re-tune? I did, and mine flies. I have the RR clutch/spur 16/66 combo, and the SS aluminum 4-1 clutch. and it hauls!!

I removed the restrictor from my AE .15 and is runs well and is reliable, but it can't compete with engines designed for racing as the .12 CVR, .12 Picco, or .12 NovaRossi. I leaned mine waaaay out one weekend and it was starting to really run great, but the temp went right up to 280 degrees. I know some would run it that hot, but I prefer to keep it under 250 degrees.

Hey 02, Ya my PC went south so I picked up a new Dell, so anyway as I was saying the Wasp .18 totally rocks, not sure what the top speed is but I can say that the engine it's self is well built and easy to tune. For the price you cant go wrong. I would suggest that you pull your tranny and install bearings and good diff. balls, replace the brake adapter with a metal one the plastic one wont last long. Get the best drive pins you can find because that engine well spin the heck out of those wheels, Lots of luck buddy, RED
