I have a sirio .18 engine, but i dont like that brand so much. It came w/ the car i bought. Im trying to trade the sirio for a new engine. I dunno wut is the best. I have a nitro rustler.
Also, tell me if u think i would be able to trade my sirio for that type of engine (less than 3 quarts, run-after).

if you would really like to go crazy get the os 18 tm rear exauat 1.6 bhp compared to the cvr side exaust 1.35 bhp.
as for whether u should get the os to replace the sirio.... i would, purely for the midrange power of the os, top hp figures dont tell the full story, its torque and width of the power band that are important.... so get the os.
edit: well sticking "os 18 dyno" into google gets this up http://www.rccaraction.com/rc/storie...es/%22&sgid=20 ok its the tz not the tm....but there u go

I just ordered a fr18 it should be here any hour. I could of ordered a os engine but I didn't since the fantoms piston and sleeve cost so little. around $30. So this engine should last me a lifetime without having to buy pistons and sleeves costing $80 or $70.

A week ago I bought the o.s .18 CV-RX for my RC10GT, and it is the best! First of all its a great brand, it is so easy to brak in you wont believe it, and on top of that I can make my truck do wheelies on command!

i seem to remember seeing an article that gave dyno readings for these os engines. iirc the cv-r was measured at 1.6hp and the tm came out a little over 2hp. i know 2hp from an 18? sounds a bit iffy... but we all know os are conservative with their figures. i think 20-25% fuel was used in the test. if i come across it again i will post it here.

frankly mate i think a used engine aint worth sh*t, just buy what we told u was best or get somethin else that u like the sound of/cheap price. its not like the tz is massively expensive, if its too much - go for the tm, still too much? - cv-r. u will not be disapointed with any of those 18s, i can asure u.
