How long are you going to store it? If it is more than a month or 2, then do not bother. the fuel does break down and will loose its volatility. If it is just a short time, just store it on a piece of wood in a cool dark place.

The alcohol will absorb water from the air, which will ruin your fuel in short order.
If the alcohol was just evaporating, it would probably improve the fuel as the nitro and oil content percentage would rise.

I have a gallon of that Traxxas Top Fuel in the metal can that I have had for 6 months now and it still works fine. I just like my electric cars more. Just don't put it directly on the concrete floor.
