I have decided I'm getting a .12 CV-RX and found one at Tower with a short shaft (for my GT) for $119. I also get a $10 coupon for my next Tower purchase with the engine.

I'm sure there are more powerfull non-pull start engines out there, but I'm on a budget and I dont feel like lugging around a starter box. I doubt there is a better pull start .12 than the CV-RX.

Just a quick question, would the .12cvr and a good aluminium pipe give much of a performance boost in the rush evo (t-15)?

I was planning on getting the .15cvr without any hesitations, but now they've discontinued it (no comment!), I'm left with the .12 or .18. With the latter probaly eating my drivetrain and drinking fuel in the gallons, it leaves me the .12. Will the fuel consumption be a lot more effecient with the .12? What content fuel would you reccomend using - 16%? I want the quality and overall performance of the o.s, but don't want to underpower my truck.

Thanks,

Paul

my 14/64 geared GT with a .12 CV-RX and an FT topend pipe gets about 12-13 minutes of runtime per 75cc tank while bashing. the CVR is a quantum leap power-wise over the T15, and you'll be more than happy with it.
i've got 3 gallons through mine and although it's not gonna get any more powerful, it's been running 30% nitro/8% oil for the last gallon and is tight as an amish call girl.

For 2wd stadium trucks, I think a 12 size motor is the best choice for racing and bashing. The .15 and .18 motors have more torqe than a stadium truck and put down. They are also taller and heavier and have a higher center of gravity and utlimately create handling problems. A quarter inch and 50 grams or so makes a big difference on a 1/10 scale vehicle.
