Good choice imo.. thats what i did. What r u getting? I HIGHLY recommend equipment from Elemental Designs.. extremely high-end audio for a VERY good price... look em up online (they're by order only).
Im currently running Boston Accoustics NX67's in the front with 2.5" tweeters, some Pioneer 6x9's in the back (if your running subs and have a good front stage, you'd be better off not even having rear speakers.. but i had em already and was too lazy to remove them).. both driven off an Elemental Designs 440.4 amp (sexy amp). Also have a single 12" infinity sub driven off a Pioneer GM-5000T. Not the best amp/sub but it gets the job done... enough to feel it in your chest when its turned up. Just don't be stupid and add the bass without setting up your front stage!
If your lookin for bang for the buck and have to purchase in-store and can't order, i'd recommend Pioneer, Polk, and Kenwood. There are other brands but they are pricey... but if your interested.. Boston Accoustics, Infinity (their upper-end line), MB Quart, and JBL are worth checking out. As a rule of thumb i'd avoid speakers from Sony (way overpriced and crap compared to other brands.. tho personally i think their P5's sound ok.. check those out if u want), and stay away from Audiobahn altogether. Also, depending on your car, you might also want to try and fit a component set up front.. tho some cars require more modification to make it work than others.. if you dont use kicks.
Ok ill stop now... good luck and have fun with the system!
