I got the XXX-NT rtr truck. My engine is acting up on me. Any ways I want a new engine for the new racing season comming up. Will the HPI Nitro Star 12R SS work in my truck? Also anything else that I would need to buy to make it work?
Thanks, Bryan

Thanks guys, I did not know were to look to find the info on it. Now the only problem I see with it is there is no pull starter on it, and I do not have a starter box!
Thanks again, Bryan

It spins at 15k rpm, I put a wheel on it to spin my flywheel and it should start, right? Also is this a good deal [link=http://www.sheldonshobbies.com/listing/fan02.html]here[/link]. It is the 12 se with rotary carb and pull starter, is 140 a good deal?

Watch ebay for a fantom engine, they're on there every now and then. I just picked up a brand new 2005 FR12, in the box, for less than $80
cheers!. But if you don't feel like waiting, $140 is a great deal for one. I think fantom has been making inprovements to thier engine with every year. The 03's were great, the 04's a bit better, the 05's a little bit better. The 05's are suppose to have 1.4bhp and 37000+ rpm.

I have a roto-zip for sheetrocking, and it works awesome for that, but I think that it would spin too fast, and there isn't enough torque to keep your engine spinning. I have used my cordless drill with a starter wheel on a shaft(I used a long bolt), and that worked well enough in a pinch, but there is no replacement for a starter box for convienence, and ease of tuning. Sometimes I wish I had a pull start for those restarts, but I would never give up my box for cold starts.

Thanks all, I will watch ebay for some stuff. Can't decide on the motor yet. $60 is very cheap price, and if I am getting a starter box then no recoil is needed. Oh well, I still got about 3 weeks before the season starts!
