Yesturday, Me and my friend went to the local construction site to bash. He brought his e-maxx while I brought my Jato. He did a ton of front flips, and it was sick. I did some long jumps and street races against public cars with my jato. (... and won.... everyone one)

nice video, you got some nice shots of your emaxx but you need to get a new camera man. a few problems, when your jumping, get futherback and dont move the camera while the car is in the air, looks like bigger air. second, SO SHAKY!!!!!!! not bad though, my donuts are better... i made a video too but this dosnt support the file and blah blah blah..... herre are some shots from it.... the first one is one of my do-nut runs.

The camera was a digital camera though, lol it was so light. (fps is only about 14... sorta stinks)
Trust me, in some shots you want to follow the car, with a camera that is capable of more FPS though, and had more weight for a steadier shot. Hey.. my dad shoots movies, i should know this.. well sorta lol, ill be the camera man next time.

Finally a decent video of the jato. Not to piss you off unbreakable but "IMO" . the jato from what i can see, is a pretty neat looking rig. cant wait for my lhs to get one so i can take a closer look at it. but this is just my opinion

I should of goten' more jato jump shots though... We didn't bring the best equimpment though. Not to mention the batteries also started to die when we started doing 1:1 street races

Eh, movie was alright. next time get a better song...just didnt match with the video. It sounded like something 5th grade girls would listen to on the bus ride to school.

I cant please everyone, another forum with about 15 posts, all said the music rocked. Here I got 2 people against me, what can i say.

Those were edges and glads on 2.2 rpm rims. The road was done with dirt hawgs in the rear.

If you want some comparisons I'll shoot some better video on a dirt track. Grass is grass, and frankly I don't like driving st's on grass. (it's boring)

i know bro, just taste in music, did you have a lot of speed drop when you went to the 2.2s on pavement. i dont like grass either, and to me asphalt is to get to the track.

Ohhh your wondering if rim size effected the overall speed.

The 2.8 rims are big but the tires are very low profile. A picture is worth a million words:




I didn't see any loss in speed, actually it seemed a little fast to be honest.

i see, i think that if proline or another company makes a good aftermarket tire then the speed might come down a little with a not so low profile. have you gone through much tread? i see other people have lost it fast

The stocks? Yah a little, it depends on how you drive.. but the stock tires are'nt the greatest.. They over steer too much.

With after-market rims and tires the handling is a huge improvement.

i bet, im talking if you go back to the 2.8 rims and an aftermarket when they come out.

i showed my niece your video and she couldn't believe how fast nitro is. maybe ill talk her into getting a jato so i can take care of it when she goes back to collage

Cool man, it is fast... I have to say, but I'm not all that of a street person. Though.. if you ever have done this... racing 1:1 cars is VERY fun, especially when some people take it seriously and lose. (We had a guy come up with a souped up red lexus and took it very seriously... well he lost ahhaha. )


anyways.. more video to come in a few weeks, possibly at a nice track.

iCrashThings, I have 2 local hobby shops, which both are pritty terrible when it comes to getting parts. One is called Hobby City and the other Hobby Works.

110% better then the last Jato video I saw!!!! I like the drag racing with the full size cars. I never have been big on Traxxas but I sure am looking at the Jato hard. I just wish Traxxas would come out with kits so I could build it like I want in and not just like every one else’s.

There's word that Traxxas is in the making a Race Version of the Jato, meaning kit. Traxxas is serious about this car.


More to come soon.... This car is just getting warmed up. I need to find a perfect set up so I can dial in exactly how I want.

That would be great to see a kit version. Any one hear anything let us know.

if they make a kit, my TR might find a new home.
i just hope they include manifolds to bolt to engines OTHER than the crappy 2.5:|
