Small idea to protect/hide wire.
I bent the fins slightly to fit it in there. Do you think this may be too hot and melt the wire. Its pretty tight in between the fins.

I'd think that wire is made with a pretty high temp tolerance, although I'm not sure how high. I'd be worried that the constant contact with the fins would melt the insulation, or even start wearing through the insulation from movement.
