Hey guys, its me again! I was wondering if someone could tell me what is the expected engine life of a nitro rc vehicle. I want to get higher speeds at times so i would like to lean my engine out every once in a while. Thanks in advance.

4-7 gallons, and that depends mainly on how you tune. Running the engine lean will seriously shorten its life, because you're (probably) overheating it as well as denying it lubrication.
You'd be better off just getting your engine well tuned and leaving it. Leaning it makes it scream like a banshee, but doesn't really produce that mugh more power.

From my experience, I'm on my 2nd gallon right now and I got my truck in march of this year. I bash 3-4 times a week for an hour or two so I'm looking at a gallon every six weeks or so.

Well, if your ST has a 75cc tank (most do) then a gallon will give you about 50 tanks. So if you average about 10 minutes of run-time per tank, then you can get 500 min (8.3 hrs) from a gallon. That means 6 gallons would be 50 hrs of running.

I'm getting 20 min. per 75cc tank.

so You mean after 4-7 gallons your engine will not work as it was new?
