Default needle adjustments PLEASE

I will be driving my first nitro in a while, and I need to know about the needle settings. how much rich for breakin? and is it easy to know how rich or lean you are running? I used .049 engines a couple times, and i have no idea if it was getting richer or leaner with the needle valves, maybe that was the throttle? anyways, I know the lsn is lean if it runs forever after you pinch the fuel line, but i dont remember the real measurements. help?
