hey, i have a jato, and i have trouble tunning my engine. it still runs and everything, i just cant get that "sweet spot." i move the needle about 1/8th of a turn, is that too much? also, if there is a little bit, not a lot, of smoke coming out, and the engine just quits, is it too lean or rich. im running it on a traxxas 2.5 with stock air filter, exhost pipe, so on and so forth.... HELP PLEASE!

I've never had a Traxxas 2.5, but i've heard they are a bit finicky. Try going to smaller increments, maybe 1/12 of a turn (would be an hour on a clock). It'll be easier to find the sweet spot.
If you slowly go to full throttle, and the motor bogs down or doesn't improve RPM all the way, WHILE making good smoke, you are too rich.
If you slowly go to full throttle, and the motor bogs down, doesn't improve RPM all the way, cuts out, with no or almost no smoke, you are too lean and in danger of damaging your motor.

I think im having the same problem. For a while, I could get it started but it would cut out with just a little throttle. now I have it working but it boggs down at full throttle. I'm going to do what gerwen said, but is there aything I should look out for? thanks for your time
