Receiver Question

I'm using a Futaba rx. in my RC10GT, and was wandering if I could get more range from a Novak rx.? Is anyone using one that can tell me how they like it?

If you are running AM you will do a lot better to go to FM.

I know, but I don't race and I don't want to buy a new radio. I'm just looking for a little more range.
