Hi hope someone can help - (tried a quick forum search but didn't have any luck solving this myself)
just started tuning my rush today after it's run in last week, as far as i'm aware the carb adjustment is fine, i.e. carb goes to full open at full throttle etc. The low needle has been leaned approx 2/8th clockwise and the high needle has been leaned off. Problem is the engine seems to bog down if you go to full throttle from idle and if it cuts out it's bloomin' difficult to restart. Any ideas? One thing i noticed after it cut out was no fuel at carb, if i opened up the throttle and took the glow plug out it took over 10 pumps of the primer to get fuel into the carb and cylinder, close carb, stick plug back in and it would start fairly easily- it was a pretty warm day today - could it just have been overheating and the fuel just vapourising?I did mark the low needles original position so resetting everything is not a problem. i still get smoke at full chat but think i've had my friends running quicker.
My mates savage 25 was playing up today too, hence why i thought the ambient temp was an issue.
Hope someone can shed some light on tuning this wee engine.
Oh, fitted purple rear springs - big difference to the handling, and the fibre brake disc - seems to do the job

It sounds like a needle adjustment issue. Whenever that ever happens to me, I return the carb needles to the factory break in settings and then lean it out accordingly.
Other possibilities are a bad glo plug (they often go bad after break in) or clutch spring,

I do not think ambulant temperatures is a problem unless you run in temperatures higher then what I do and I run in 90 to a little over 100 degrees F. What it sounds like to me is you need to richen up your LSN about a ΒΌ of a turn. Always make sure you do not have a air leak.

I get a similar issue with mine, after runnning for a while the performance seems to bog out at full throttle and not improve as you described but mine has never cut out / stopped.
I've always put it down to not being properly set up, in terms of the high / low needle settings. It is probably conisidence but i've noticed the issue happening more in warm weather as well (using 16% Nitro). If the issue occurs i just lift the truck up and give it a couple of blasts of full throttle back on the ground and away we go, i have wondered if it gets a build up of oil which effects the performance leading me to think the needle setting arn't quite spot on ?? One other thought i've had is that the clutch could be slipping as the revs seems to be there but not being transfered anyway ?
Don't know if this has helped or confused the issue further[
