I have had my nitro evader for about 2 years now and it has been nothing but trouble and a waste of money since I bought it. This will definatley be the last Duratrax r/c I will ever buy.
Here is what is worng with it--
-I fill the gas tank up with gas and cover the exhaust and begin to take a few priming pulls. When I do this, the gas just flows right into the exhaust and none throught the fuel line going to the engine. I waste about half a tank of gas with about 4 pulls right through the exhaust.
I do not want to spend anymore money on r/c's right now seeing that I have other, more important things in life that I need to be focusing on.
I want to try and fix this myself and not spend anymore money. Because If this trouble keeps up with this stupid car, I am going to be forced to sell.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
--Evader

The stock gas tank sucks and will always do that since the pressure fitting is in the tank not on the lid that is why lots of guys uprade to the rc10 gt tank which is only about 10 bucks, but requires you drill new holes which isn't hard. Also if you do decide to sell let me know.

ok i might think about getting a new tank. Just last year I bought a new tank cuz my old one broke and i got a different lid that fits very good. I will try using those tighener things on the fuel lines to where they connect. I just don't know what to do.
Oh and about eh reply above this^^ Traxxas does not suck, I have a stampede and it has been my favorite r/c I've ever owned because of its durability and ability to be upgraded greatly.

Sounds like your high speed needles too lean forcing the fuel into the exhaust instead of the carb...reset to factory settings and try that
Traxxas are better although the evader people try and kid themselves and think they aren't.

I agree, the electric Stampede is a great truck, I had one for 2 years and loved it. I think the Nitro Evader problem isn't as much to do with the Nitro Evader as it is to do with your skills/patience with nitro vehicles. I guarantee that if you had bought a NITRO Stampede rather than an electric one, you would have made a thread saying you would never buy another Traxxas vehicle again.
I had a Nitro Stampede... lol, the N-Evader is a far better machine in everyway. You just can't compare electric and nitro in such a way, as nitro vehicles with always have more "problems" than electric vehicles, but those problems rarely have anything to do with the vehicle itself. It's usually typical nitro stuff, and depending on your experience/patience, you either identify the problem and fix it easily...
...or you go onto a forum and whine that your truck sucks.

Your right there Nitro's are always changing engines you always need to adjust settings can't run one setting forever...Gasers aren't much different other than the fact they don't take $25/gal fuel and run 45-60 minutes per tank but they too have problems. All rc's do it's just the nature of the hobby.
