Often thought of buying one but at least during the winter time we don't get many trucks running offroad so I never pulled the trigger to buy one. THe price seems right and hard to beat.

I've been cleaning and rebuilding my X-Cellerator over the last week. I cleaned it, polished it, installed some new bearings and new electronics. Hopefully I'll have it done today and I'll post some pics. It will still be home to an STS .28 engine... [>:]

alright guys, ive tried posting this as a general question for anyone to answer but it didnt seem to help so i thought i would ask people who have the same car as me. anyway here it is:

i was driving my x-cell and it was fine. the next time i went to start it up, it started fine but when i tried to x-cellerate the truck just sat there and rev-ed all the way up. so i lifted the rear end off the ground and gased it and the wheels spinned just fine. so i started trouble-shooting and so far have replaced my diff. gears, and pin and that hasn't worked. so i tried re-aligning the clutch bell and spur gear and still same result...nothing. i tried re-tuning...nothing. so i recently replaced the clutch itself and still nothing. the truck will move but only if i SLOWLY give it gas and doesnt really reach its top end. umm i think thats all the info i have for you guys. can anyone help me? let me know. thanks

Dunno if you tried it yet, but tighten the slipper that could be too loose or worn down too much.

Ya i no how you feel, I feel that same way everytime somthing isnt working and i cant figure it out. What I would sugest is to replace the clutch pads (if there worn) and to make sure your wheels are on right. Make sure that the pins that lock into the slots on the wheel are acctually IN the slots. If thats not the problem i would just check everything from the pinnion gear back. One last thing, the driveshaft has a hex screw that holds on the pinnion and the torqe starter ring, make sure thats nice and tight too.

I got a stampede but I didn't realize there the same tires lol, mine are so worn down. traxxes makes crappy tires I had a friend who scratched his eye from a piece of a shreaded tire on a nitro rustler. so I dont really like traxxas anymore. p.s. are you gonna paint your back wheels to match the front?

XTM is indeed Global Hobby's "house brand", just like Sportwerks is Horizon's house brand and Duratrax is Great Planes' house brand.
