My favorite for the XTM is the .18 SH pro but there out of stock over here. They are perfect high power for the XTM, its part #PT18R06A if you can find one 0ver there.

One of the faults on the XTM stock motor is after they get hot they tend to lean out and get even hotter. You always want them a little sluggish when you first start them and after about a lap they smooth out real well and don't over heat [:'(]

maybe you ran it too lean or using the wrong fuel. you need to tune it so it only runs about 290 degrees F. i think the max is 320 on the xtm .18. i have had nothing but good luck with this engine. I even put one in my t-maxx and it runs like a raped ape. hope this helps.

Wow thats pretty nice, rather patriotic state side. Hope you don't run into any ratical green peace America haters............LOL..........I couldn't believe some of those guys. I golfed as a Pro in Europe for 7 years and they used to protest at some of the courses with signs that said they were green deserts []

hey you guys im back. well after my little mishap with the xcells diff i just dropped off for a little. but now im back. well first off there were some questions about the diffs in these little buggers. i replaced it with a team losi monster diff gear for the xxxnt. it is a little bigger than the stock diff but i've always had a bit too much backlash in the gears. now with the monster diff it is pretty tight. it will whined a bit because it is a bit bigger but once it was broken in, it was silky smooth. so now that i know the losi monster diff gear will fit, i feel a little bit better about my trans. now the second thing is that when i broke in the diff gear no matter how much i tightened the diff it would always slip. i looked around online and saw this cool trick.

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXEPF5&P=7

if you look to the inside part of the outdrive, you should see two notches, holes, spaces ,etc. the outter space is where the diff rings fit. on the inner space, there isn't anything. well after looking around i saw a site were this one guy put rubber o-rings/washers on the inside to help slow down the diff action. this is pretty much a scaled down version of a limited slip diff. i thought what the heck and tried it. i'll be damned this trick actually worked. [X(] i've run it a lot since and i don't notice any abnormal diff wear from this trick. i'll try to get pics of what im talking about. just lettin you guys know.

Lookin good so far!!! I bought those same rims for mine and the reat tires, but i have differnt front tires. What losi truck are those rear graphite for? the xxxnt?

Man the weather has been terrible here, i'm goin crazy not being able to drive my trucks, except for maybe one day. Hows the weather near Berlin?

Oh yeah, i now have an xtm .18 engine in my t-maxx, man that thing runs awesome, much better than the traxxas engines(IMO). It was a pretty easy conversion.

Also, the newest addition to my rc collection is the losi micro desert truck and of course with mods. aluminum, aluminum, aluminum!!!!!!

Later,
Dennis

yeah this thing will be a beast but i need to set my order at tower to get it completed..., just waiting for my money to come in

still need the os 18tz and accs
evader graphite front hubs and arms
2stage proline inserts (cause i cutted mine badly... hehe)
aluminium diff gear + associated stealth diff hubs

yea, these rear arms are losi xxx-nt ad2 graphite ones they fit pretty nice if you mod them a bit
if you have any questions on what to do feel free to ask.

the weather over here is alright but its too cold for breaking my g4 in ... and my x-cell will be ready in the mid-march i guess

edit:

what front tires have you bought ?

The front tires i got are the losi stadium truck tires, forgot the part no., they are half ribbed and half square knobby. I've only had a few runs on them, but get much better traction than the stock x-cell tires. And those rear tires i got(same as yours) hook up really good, you'll like them.

It's going to be nice here this weekend, so I'm gona breakout the x-cell and t-maxx and have some fun and see if I can break some parts...LOL

If i can get some good pics of the tires i'll post them(my camera sucks that or i'm a bad photographer).

what material is the losi brake disk made of??, so far my stock one is working good.

I have a local hobby shop opening up here next week and he's looking to me to tell him what parts and stuff to carry, so I should not have to wait for parts if i break some.

i cant really tell what material it is, but i just tested the brakeeffect and it seemed alot better. the stock x-cell brake is getting very hot when you often use your brake and then it loses grip

had to do a little cutting on the inside and reduce the radius for about 0,3cm

edit:

we have different tires... i bought proline the edge and bowtie-t

i like your x-cell... just a tip the whole car looks about 50% better if your paint you own body and put it on

i want to get a micro baja but tower doesnt have any in stock :/, should have thought about that when i bought my stuff at amain. how do you like the micro ?

I found some instructions "how to make lighter gas injection for nitro cars"
Can that lighter gas give a car some boost or it will destroy engine?
