Got my Jato today!
Purchased it this morning, rear tires are bald after 5 tanks or so on mostly pavement? Adjusted the tranny shift to my liking..........mand this thing flies! What to do about tires....any suggestions?
If you have been thinking of purchasing this car, just do it! It is built really well, seems very durable and I am really impressed with the fit and finish. You can tell they actually take pride in building these and for that my hat is off to Traxxis.
I will integrate my my new radio and servos this week, just wanted to get it broken in and all before doing that. The steering servo is really tucked away, so I will have to remove alot to get that installed.
This car is FUN

RE: Got my Jato today!
There are tons of threads like this and most of them say the Jato is nothing special. I'm not saying its not a good truck I am saying that the truck has been so hipped up and I think that Traxxas could have made something even better. If you look through all the forums on the Jato you will see what I mean.

I like your signature and your opinion is just as valid as anyones. I looked at a lot of cars and if you compare them by mere looks and build quality, this car get good marks. I am no pro at this and you may well be right, but it is a blast to drive and that is really what counts......right? I may be disappointed in the long term and am simply stating my first impressions.

RE: Got my Jato today!
Glad you like it, and once you get a good servo for steering (i recommend the 625mg), the car absolutely shines. Make sure to pick up some nice tires on 2.2 rims, the stockers are junk.
How is it nothing special? Back up your opinion. Have you seen one in action, or seen one at all in person?
I respect your opinion, but there are too many people out there who say things without a good source.

Man....it seems that some on this forum are a little up tight, just wanting to start a flame at any moment? It's a darn RC car and if someone likes it, who the heck are we to say otherwise! Can't we all just get along, after all, we all love this hobby and everyone is different. Peace

RE: Got my Jato today!
Guys, if you use offroad tyres ONROAD they shred like anything. Get yourself 2 complete sets of ST rims, get a set of Proline Road Rage/Road Hawg on one set, and ribbed fronts/treaded rears (like bowties) on the other set.
If traxxas releases a kit version of this vehicle I will be quite impressed, no crappy radio gear, no crappy engine...

I would hope a .18 would beat a .15. Thats not really anything to brag about.
