Engine for Evader
Want some more power out of my evader. I am already trying the spur gears and clutch bell for more speed but I want more. I am looking for maybe a .21 engine but I cant seem to find a one that will fit.

RE: Engine for Evader
Yah it is. I gotta race some pretty hard people who live around me. Soke guy with a TC3 wants to take me in a drag. I need all the speed I can get. Thats why I have put a lot of money into my evader. We may just race for fun but sometimes money pops up in the race. And thats what gets me more parts.

Plus a selection of tc3 pinion gears and you'll be rockin. I don't know if you'll hold a candle to a sedan, but you'll be about as fast as you can be on the cheap.

The os .21 won't fit, and the epic .18 is worthless since you can have the more powerful os .18 for 40 less. I would also suggest you buy what gerwen showed you.

The dtx .18 can reach rmps over 39,000? I only thought it could reach 35,000 rpm. Some give me the power output of the dtx .18

For MAX. SPEED, I would definately go with gerwen's suggesstion. O.S. .18CVR - geared HIGH with the threaded bell - no one would touch you. Even if you got a .21 in there, you would have a hard time controlling it, it would be heavy, and the gearbox would most likely fail.

Thanx because I was going to get a .21 but I have heard that people have melted there diffs with them. The sedan guy might not race though. Also what tc3 gear would I have to buy to put on it? I really want to go for what my signature says.

You have [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0095P?FVSEARCH=ntc3+pinion&FVPROFIL=++]these[/link] gears to choose from if you get that threaded bell. I'm not sure if you're going to be able to adjust the engine mount far enough to make that 27t pinion fit. It will take some experimentation. Use the Evader BX spur gear - it's smaller.

RE: Engine for Evader
So would you suggest getting the threaded bell along with the O.S. .18CVRX?
And is this the exact model? [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGGP7&P=ML]LINK![/link]

RE: Engine for Evader
hey Infinity, if you are interested in seeing the evader with the .18 CVRX in it, I can probably arrange that. I work in Joliet and can bring it up one night.. it's a great setup with that engine. I'm needing to do a quick rebuild on the diff, something has gone wrong, but as soon as that's fixed (the next couple of nights) you are welcome to check it out, let me know..

I live right next door in Naperville, where in Joliet do you work. I could probably meet you somewhere around here. I could probably meet you at Neuqua Valley High School they have a large parking lot and you could show me it. Let me know if you want to meet me there. And so we know we can just meet over on the side of the parking ot where the football field is. I would really want to see the car in action. Hope to see you soon!

RE: Engine for Evader
So you do know where Neuqua is right? Its really easy to find once you enter Naperville. I have a lot of time. Because i have to make up a bundle of money to get the engine, spur gear, tc3 pinion, and the new threaded clutch bell

YO DUDE!!!
hey, I'll be up at Leisure Hours saturday, I'm figuring sometime around noon or so... I'll bring the evader with if you want, I've got off-road tires on it, so we'll find some grass and you can check it out. If you want, PM me your number and I'll give you a call tonight or tomorrow.
