I know this is Stadium truck forum but you guys make me feel so comfy...[sm=biggrin.gif]
A buddy of mine I work with wants to trade me a Laptop for his 3yr old T-maxx. He says hes got a huge tub of extra parts a new engine.(1 yr old) and all the tools and goodies you need to RACE with an RC. Now im not going to be racing this yr..maybe next.. But ball park figure what would you estimate a 3yr old T-maxx with a .25 engine...like 10 bodies and 2 of almost every part...
I dont have Cash, or I would buy a Savage...but I have been lookin to sell my laptop..Its worth about 800 bucks or so..I would get much more use out of an RC..lol..
Should I trade him?

Don't know man, laptops are snazzy, but then again so are T-Maxx's...
Just decide what you want and need more... You probably NEED the laptop, but WANT the T-Maxx. Just put things in perspective...

That was pretty funny.
See the thing is, I have a PC already, my GF who I live with has a PC and a laptop..so It just seems logical to get a 500 dollar toy doesnt it... Oh Crap man no more School for me..The laptop was for nothing other than what my Home PC can do. However I could wrench in the garage AND get advice on the forum...I think the T-maxx wins over chatting with you guys...
lol you guy are whiped

What can you get for the laptop on Ebay? Take that money, and think about what you can get NEW.
I personally wouldn't do it, I think that the laptop is worth way more than a 3YR old T-Maxx.
Lets say that you get 1000.00 for it. What can you buy new for that?
Anty

The fact that you have the power to do this is what irritates me. I probably won't be seeing a new R/C for a year or so. I'll just have to make do with what I have (see signature... hahah!)

Uhmmmm so like you are cheating on your wife or what?

Of course if you did sell it on Ebay, your GF would know that you are sititng on 1K and get pissed when you blow it all on new RC stuff.
" Oh you sold it huh...so wheres my half???"

D0G, I had the very same problems with my g/f that you have with yours. Then she gave me the ultimatum...My toys or her.
Can't say as i miss the b**** very much though
honestly, if you REALLY think you want that maxx, i say go right ahead...but be forewarned.
NEVER take another man's offer if it seems too good to be true, because it usually is.
plus, he's gonna wind up with your whole porn collection
